Your day begins at London Bridge Station, where you’ll meet your guide and small group. After a short welcome and receiving your train tickets, you’ll travel together to Brighton before continuing by minibus into the Sussex countryside.

Travelling in a modern, comfortable Mercedes minibus, you’ll head into Ashdown Forest, the real-life inspiration for the Hundred Acre Wood. The pace of the day is gentle and relaxed, with plenty of time to explore, walk, and enjoy the stories behind the locations.

The tour begins in the village of Hartfield, close to where A.A. Milne lived, just outside the village. You’ll have time here for lunch and to explore Pooh Corner, once the village sweet shop that Christopher Robin visited. Today it is a tearoom serving lunches and cakes, home to a small Pooh Museum displaying original drawings, toys, and memorabilia, as well as a shop dedicated entirely to Winnie-the-Pooh.

Hartfield is also home to a beautiful 15th-century pub, offering traditional pub lunches. Lunch is not included, giving you the freedom to choose what suits you.

After lunch, the tour continues deeper into the forest to Poohsticks Bridge, where you can play the famous game by dropping your own stick into the river. Nearby, your guide will point out locations associated with Pooh’s home, Piglet’s home, and Owl’s home.

The final stop is Gills Lap (Galleon’s Leap). Here you’ll visit the Sandy Pit, the Heffalump Trap, the Enchanted Place, and the memorial to A.A. Milne and E.H. Shepard, with wonderful views across Ashdown Forest.
