reviews

Explore England’s newest national park with some of the most iconic land and seascapes.

This is our best-selling and original tour, offering a full-day, in-depth journey through the South Downs National Park and the Seven Sisters coastline. It’s designed for travellers who want to properly immerse themselves in the landscape, history, and stories of Sussex, rather than just ticking off viewpoints.

From rolling downland and historic villages to dramatic chalk cliffs and iconic coastal scenery, this tour delivers the complete South Downs experience.

  • Full-day immersive tour of the South Downs National Park

  • Devil’s Dyke panoramic countryside views

  • Traditional Sussex lunch stop at Middle Farm or Alfriston village

  • Drive through the Cuckmere Valley

  • View of the mysterious Long Man of Wilmington

  • Beachy Head – the highest chalk cliffs in England

  • Birling Gap – the most famous Seven Sisters location

  • Seaford Head panoramic Seven Sisters viewpoint

  • Small group tour with local professional guides

Your day begins at London Bridge Station, where you’ll meet your guide and small group. After a short welcome and receiving your train tickets, you’ll travel together to Brighton before continuing by minibus into the South Downs.

Once on the minibus, the pace of the day is unhurried and immersive. This is a full-day experience with plenty of time at each stop, allowing you to absorb the landscape and hear the stories that bring the South Downs to life.

The tour begins at Devil’s Dyke, one of the most famous viewpoints in the National Park. From the top, you’ll enjoy sweeping views across the Sussex countryside while your guide introduces the South Downs and shares the legend behind the name Devil’s Dyke.

From here, the tour continues to a relaxed lunch stop. Most days this is at Middle Farm, a traditional Sussex farm known for its local produce. During busier periods, lunch may instead be in the nearby village of Alfriston, often ranked among the most beautiful villages in England. Lunch is not included, giving you the freedom to choose what suits you.

After lunch, the journey continues south through the Cuckmere Valley, one of the most recognisable landscapes in the South Downs. Along the way, you’ll take in views of the ancient Long Man of Wilmington, a mysterious chalk figure whose origins are still debated.

The coastal section of the tour begins at Beachy Head, the highest point on the chalk cliffs, before continuing to Birling Gap — where most visitors come to experience the Seven Sisters up close. Here you’ll have time to walk along the clifftops, take photographs, and — conditions permitting — walk down to the beach.

The final coastal stop is Seaford Head, a quieter viewpoint offering a sweeping panoramic view of the Seven Sisters stretching across the Cuckmere Valley. You’ll walk around the headland at a relaxed pace, taking in one of the most dramatic coastal landscapes in England.

The tour returns to Brighton in the late afternoon or early evening before you travel back to London by train.
